Abstract:
Objectives The corrosion of ship materials not only affects the navigation safety and shortens the service period, but also causes maintenance burden and high maintenance costs. Thus, it is of great scientific value and practical significance to carry out research on anticorrosion of the ship materials and to design a new type of ship preservative.
Methods This paper summarizes the problems of existing anticorrosion measures of the ship materials, and the structural characteristics of graphene anticorrosive coating and the coating applications in the ship anticorrosion field. However, the graphene coating may accelerate the corrosion rate of metal during long-term use due to structural defects, weak coupling with matrix and other factors. In order to solve this problem, the functionalized treatment by compounding the graphene with the matrix is put forward to obtain a modified graphene/polymer composite which is then subject to electrochemical tests.
Results The results show that the functionalized graphene can improve the anticorrosion performance of the coating to a certain extent.
Conclusions By combining the research progress and trends of the current ship anticorrosive coatings, this provides a theoretical basis for the application of the graphene anticorrosive coating in the ship anticorrosion field.
