Design and optimization of truss structure for the second generation Spar platform

      目的  为提高第2代深水Spar平台的水动力性能,对其桁架结构进行方案设计与优化研究。
      方法  首先,基于三维势流理论研究垂荡板的运动方程,通过莫里森公式对桁架部分进行水动力计算,并结合工程经验提出桁架结构(含垂荡板)的初始设计方案;然后,对Spar平台的垂荡板及桁架结构进行数值计算,针对不同参数下的桁架结构进行时域及频域分析,探究平台垂荡板的数量、厚度、间距和桁架横截面积、斜桁架数量对Spar平台水动力性能的影响,以进一步优化设计方案。
      结果  研究结果表明:确定垂荡板数量需综合考虑Spar平台各自由度的运动;垂荡板厚度越薄,平台水动力性能越好;垂荡板间距应为提升平台垂荡和纵摇性能效率最高的值;桁架横截面积对平台的运动响应影响较大,斜桁架数量影响相对较小。
      结论  研究结果可为深、远海油气钻井平台设计提供有益的指导。

     

    Abstract:
      Objectives  In order to improve the hydrodynamic performance of the second generation deepsea Spar platform, the design and optimization of truss structure is tudied in this paper.
      Methods  The equation of motion of the heave plate was investigated based on the three-dimensional potential flow theory, and the Morrison formula was used to calculate the hydrodynamic force of the truss structure. Then, combined with engineering experience, a preliminary scheme of the truss structure(including the heave plate) was proposed. Then, the numerical calculation of the heave plate and truss structure of the Spar platform was carried out, and the time-domain and frequency-domain analysis of the truss structure under different parameters was carried out to explore the the influence of the number, thickness and space of heave plate, the cross section area of the trusses and the number of inclined trusses on the hydrodynamic performance of the Spar platform, so as to further optimize the design scheme.
      Results  The results show that, the motion of various degrees of freedom of the Spar platform should be considered comprehensively with respect to the determination of the number of heave plates. The thinner the thickness of heave plates, the better the hydrodynamic performance of the platform. The spacing between heave plates should find the most efficient value to improve the heave and pitch performance of the platform. The cross-sectional area of trusses has a greater impact on the motion response of the platform, while the number of inclined trusses has a relatively small impact.
      Conclusions  The study in this paper can provide a certain reference to the design of deepsea drilling platform.
