Abstract:
Objectives To deal with the attack threat of ships' electronic information systems in complex marine battlefield environments, a new strong electromagnetic protection technology based on graphene is introduced.
Methods First, the unique optic-electric properties and tunability of graphene are demonstrated. Second, the research progress of graphene optoelectronic devices in recent years is reviewed, and we further introduce relevant research results on graphene terahertz modulators and optical photonic crystals. Finally, the applications of graphene and its composites in the field of absorbing materials are also introduced.
Results It is feasible to apply graphene materials and optoelectronic devices to strong electromagnetic weapon protection and ships' radar stealth technology.
Conclusions These research results are of great significance for improving the electromagnetic compatibility and survivability of ships' electronic information systems, and ensuring that the sea warfare is won under information conditions.
