Abstract:
This paper introduces the features of ship' s propeller control system and the simulation of mathematical model. Common PID controller is widely adopted, which is simple, robust and reliable. However, it merely contributes to linear fixed system, while it is less work on the non-linear, time-changeable, sophisticated system due to a long responsahle time and high overshoot. In order to compensate for the weakness of PID and meet the demand of complicated system, we adopt the fuzzy control theory for variable pitch propeller. By simulating, it shows that the concise fuzzy-intelligence theory is better than PID.
