Objectives In order to improve the environmental adaptability of ship electromagnetic shielding coating, a theoretical and experimetal study is performed.
Methods first, through the theoretical analysis of electromagnetic shielding technology, a method is obtained for evaluating the electrical conductivity of a coating layer on the surface of aluminum substrate. Second, four different types of electromagnetic shielding coating, namely foreign CHO and domestic HHY, QJH and NS, are prepared as experimental samples through brushing and spraying respectively. Afterwards, a study on the electrical conductivity of various types electromagnetic shielding coating is carried out via an anti-harsh environment adaptability test.
Results The results show that, (1)in the case of the same process method, the coating properties of the domestic HHY and QJH were excellent; and(2)in the case of the same electromagnetic shielding coating, the coatings prepared using the spraying process have the best conductivity.
Conclusions This study can provide references and guidance for the application of electromagnetic shielding coating to ship electronic equipment.
