Multi-mode Single Sideband Time Modulation Harmonic Adaptive Beamforming

  • Objectives In order to use time modulated harmonics to achieve high-efficiency adaptive beamforming, Methods a multi-mode single-sideband time modulation module containing absorption states has been design in this paper. by controlling the on and off of the absorption state, control of each absorption state can be realized. based on the classic adaptive beamforming algorithm and channel equivalent amplitude weighted control the corresponding periodic control timing pulses can be derived to achieve efficient adaptive beamforming in harmonics. Results The feasibility of the system was verified through numerical simulation. At the same time, a set of harmonic beamforming system including antenna, modulation module and control module was processed in the 5GHz frequency band. The experiment verified that the main beam scanning angle error is within 1^° and the null-scanning angle error is within 3^°. Conclusions The proposed system can effectively realize adaptive beamforming of harmonic beams through a single radio frequency channel, and has the advantages of simple structure and low cost.
