A Efficient Ship Hull Multi-Objective Optimization Method Considering Ice Resistance and Calm Water Resistance

  • Objectives To address the impact of ice floes on ship performance, an efficient hull optimization method that considers both ice resistance and calm water resistance is proposed. Methods This method automatically generates hull forms using a modeling platform developed based on NFFD. It employs CFD and CFD&DEM methods, utilizing Java macros to automatically calculate the calm water resistance and ice resistance of numerous target hulls. The XGBoost algorithm is used to establish a surrogate model, replacing the numerical simulation process in the optimization workflow.
