Environment-Aware LMA-Based TDMA Topology Optimization

  • To address the challenges that traditional physical-layer simulations struggle to accurately capture the spatial heterogeneity of real-world ocean environments, and conventional Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocols suffer from high energy consumption, this paper proposes an optimization framework integrating a Channel Knowledge Map (CKM) with topology control. A CKM is constructed based on a ray-acoustic model and a direct-sequence spread spectrum communication system. Leveraging this CKM, we develop the LMA-TDMA protocol, which employs a Local Mean Algorithm (LMA) to dynamically adjust node transmission power for topology control and allocates time slots based on node degrees. This approach significantly reduces both end-to-end delay and overall energy consumption. The results demonstrate that the proposed protocol exhibits high adaptability to underwater acoustic networks with high node density in a given area.
