The Hull Variation Based on the Main Hull Parameters

This paper presents a hull variation method for the performance computation in the process of ship design and optimization. It changes the hull form by seven main hull parameters and therefore can generate a series of hull forms from the parent ship. The basic idea of the method is demonstrated through an example of the main hull of a trimaran.
