The Characteristics of Pouring Epoxy Resin Cushion and Its Application in Ships

This paper made a general description of the application of casting epoxy resin cushion in shipbuilding industry since the 1990s. It analyzed the reliability and economy of epoxy resin cushion and according to the ap plication of epoxy resin cushion in shipping machinery and shaft installation, generalized the advantages of epoxy resin cushion by comparing the new technique with the traditional ones, and it introduced the developme nt of casting epoxy resin cushion technique and the current design checking method. Besides, some expectations were put forward for the application of casting epoxy resin cushion in Chinese shipbuilding industry.
