Cost effectiveness assessment of ship hull corrosion protection based on the maintenance plan

As an important part of the ship, the hull suffers from huge economic losses due to the complexity of the harsh marine environment. Since the economic loss caused by severe corrosion is often severe and the economic benefit of anti-corrosion technology is difficult to assess, this paper explains the basic connotation, discusses the corrosion damage from the perspective of the ship service life, and proposes certain measures to evaluate the cost of corrosion protection. Particularly, the present corrosion protection schemes are put forward with Monte Carlo simulation of the parameter sensitivity analysis method, and the established ship maintenance planning is considered. Also, cost effectiveness analysis is carried out on the corrosion protection measures and it improves the effectiveness of the corrosion protection cost for the analyzing tools.
